Eligibility to enter SGC weekly golf contests

The Tournament Director (TD) and Tournament Committee are responsible for establishing the eligibility requirements for entering the Silverbell Golf Club weekly contests such as the Format game, closest to the pin, as well as net and gross skins. In general, SGC members in good standing may enter the weekly contests providing they have played at least 3 "regular golf" rounds (scramble formats and similar formats cannot be used to establish handicaps and therefore do not count toward the requirement of 3 "regular golf" rounds) within the preceding 12 months in order for the TD to determine that the individual has an equitable handicap. Under certain circumstances, on a case-by-case basis, the TD may make an exception to the minimum 3-round requirement if, in his judgment it is possible to determine an equitable handicap for the individual through other means. The Tournament Director's decision in these cases is final.
