2026 Tee Box Selection Trial
Why?
Since the addition of multiple tee sets at the city courses members have asked for the ability to play from different tees at different courses. With some restrictions, our Tournament Management System (TMS) has an option that allows players to select the tees they want to play from when they sign up for a round.
Beginning with the SGC round on 7/15/26 at Silverbell Golf Course the club will begin a trial use this option to let player choose the tee box they want play from for each round.
We will run this trial through July once completed the Board will make a decision whether to continue with the option.
How to choose your tees:
When signing up to play you must select the tees you will play from for the round There will be a "drop-down" box which will let you choose from the tees available for that course. Using the drop-down field select the tees you want and complete the signup process.
Special Notes:
- Caution: If you do not select a tee box you will default to the "Back Tees" (Blue tees) for that course.
- Your course handicap for that round will be adjusted automatically based on the course and the tees you play.
- This is a trial. If we find that it works we will try to continue it going forward.
