SGC Midsummer Monsoon Madness
The SGC Midsummer Monsoon Madness (3M) will be played on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 and Saturday, August 22. Both rounds will be played at Randolph North GC. The SGC 3M tournament is scheduled to break the summer monotony and designed to be a fun event. We hope everyone will participate and enjoy the event. We look forward to adding this tournament to our schedule.
The Wednesday and Saturday rounds are separate events, members may play in one or both and may choose different partners for each round played.
Any SGC member in good standing, with a club index, can partner up and play in the 3M tournament.
To sign Up
- Sign up for the day you want to play using the TMS sign up procedure: silverbell.golfclub.net
- Use the comment field in the signup page in TMS to tell us who you would like to partner with.
- If you do not have a partner, the Tournament Committee will pair you with someone.
Format
- This is a one (1) round event.
- 2 player teams, 9 hole scramble 9 hole alternate shot. Low net one day 18 hole tournament.
- Pay out 1/4 of the field from the $10(per person) buy in fee.
- Due to the format there will be no skins or CTP's
- Handicaps will be calculated using USGA calculations for the two formats being played.
- The Scramble 9 holes will be played as a normal scramble. Both players hit and they pick the best shot and then both players hit from that spot (within one club length). So on through the hole out.
- The Alternate Play 9 holes, each team decides which player will tee off from the even number tees and the other team member tees off from the odd number holes. The team alternates shots through the green. If a provisional shot is necessary, the player who hit the shot must hit the provisional ball also. If there is a penalty incurred after a shot then the partner plays the shot after the penalty drop (or OB).
- Scores from this round will not be used for USGA handicaps.
